Biography

Dr. Asoke Kumar Saha is a senior Bangladeshi psychologist, academic, and researcher currently serving as Professor (Grade-II) in the Department of Psychology at Jagannath University, Dhaka. He is a former Chairman of the Department of Psychology and previously served as Proctor of the university.

He completed his BSc (Honours) and MSc (Thesis) in Psychology from Rajshahi University and earned his D.Phil. in Psychology from Allahabad University, India. He was awarded a Centrally Funded Doctoral Fellowship by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).

Dr. Saha is internationally recognized for his contributions to social psychology, educational psychology, and mental health research. He has published extensively in national and international journals, authored multiple academic books, supervised PhD and MPhil researchers, and led numerous research projects funded by World Bank, UGC, MOST, MoE, and other national and international bodies.

    Social identity, group behavior, individualism-collectivism, attitudes, and group decision-making processes.

    Learning processes, academic achievement, motivation, teaching effectiveness, and student mental well-being.

  • I/O Psychology

    Job satisfaction, work motivation, leadership, organizational behavior, and human resource development.

  • Clinical Psychology

    Mental health assessment, stress, anxiety, depression, and psychosocial counseling interventions.
